I am on a journey to live a life I love and to fill my life with the things that truly bring me joy... my dream job, loving relationships, financial abundance, a healthy mind and body, and a deep spiritual connection with all that is. I am living consciously to create a life filled with all the things I love.

It's Time to Get Healthy

After a lot of time thinking about how important it is to get healthy, it seems that I've been having all signs pointing to how important it is to become healthy. Many signs and people are all pointing the way. I've gradually started incorporating healthy eating into my life and have been making sure I get plenty of sleep, but what I haven't fully committed to yet is the exercise. I finally did commit by joining the 100 Day Fitness Challenge on youTube, and now it's time to do the work!

As soon as I return from a trip over 4th of July weekend, I plan to start the following health plan:

1. Order organic produce from Urban Organics
2. Learn to make organic vegetarian recipes
3. Start taking yoga classes once a week at a yoga studio
4. Exercise every morning during the week (even a 10 min workout counts!)
5. Go to bed early and get 8 hours of sleep every night

It's not a grand plan, but it's something to get me started. I've cut my food portions, so I haven't felt like I've gained weight, but whenever I eat salt (from restaurant foods), sugar (from desserts), dairy, gluten, white bread, white rice, caffeine or anything else that is not nutritionally rich, my body reacts by making me sluggish, unfocused, and spacey. And that's not what I want! So, within the next month, I'm going to infuse my body with nutritionally dense foods, plenty of water, exercise, and sleep! I've done this before, and after the detox, the results are clearer skin, toned muscles, and more energy!

I finished taking my herbs from Brazil yesterday! After 6 months, I'm finally finished! It's amazing how much has changed in my life in 6 months. A new career direction, a new city, a new life. Now I'm going to supplement all of that with a new health plan.

One more thing I plan on doing during the month of July. I'm going to carve out 10 days to do the Master Cleanse. It's amazing how others can do it... I think it's time I tried it too. I'll let you know how it goes!

Writing Your Goals

I've decided to write my main goals in big writing on a piece of paper and tape it in front of me so that I see it every day. I can't ignore what I see every day, right? And I assume the energy of the messages will eventually affect me at a subconscious level, which will help me attain these goals quicker and faster. I also decided to write them in the present tense, rather than using the future tense. This will help me feel like these things are already a part of my life, which will make these things easier to come into my life.

Instead of listing "What I Want," I wrote "What I Have." I also changed all of the items on the list from "to be..." to "I am..."

I have also written a few of the top goals in the present tense and taped them in front of me. For example, "I wake up early at 6am every day." It seems like a simple technique, but as I read this every day, I will start waking up at 6am naturally, I'm sure. This is one of the techniques I'm using to try and become an early bird.

Try it! And let me know if these techniques have worked for you!

Success Story: Charice Pempengco

Every time I watch Charice sing, it gives me chills. She is so talented and amazing. I first saw her on an Oprah episode about talented kids. Charise was one of them, and she sang for us for the very first time. Her voice was so amazing that I was speechless after I watched her, and I'm sure everyone else was too, including Oprah. She was brought back again on another show where Celine Dion invited her to sing with her the following week.

I just found a video of her on youtube and had to share. I hope you enjoy!

My First YouTube Knitting Videos

I am so excited because I have finally uploaded a few knitting videos on YouTube. It was an idea I had a while ago, and I finally got around to uploading a few how-to videos on YouTube! I have many, many more videos to come and ideas for all of the ones I want to create this summer to teach people to knit, sew, and crochet. I am planning on throwing in some other fun videos in there of events I attend. I'm pretty excited about getting it all up and running. And most of all, if I ever forget how to do anything, I have my own catalogue of videos to refresh my memory!

So, if you know any knitters, sewers, or crafters out there, please send them the link to my youtube channel to subscribe. I would love to get a whole bunch of subscribers so that I can eventually apply for the youtube partner program. That's my goal. And if you have any ideas of suggestions, please send them my way! Otherwise, happy knitting!

You can find all of my knitting tutorials here in the future.

Millionaire Awaken Your Secret - Think and Grow Rich

Here's a video I found on the topic of attracting wealth that I enjoyed and thought you might too. One of my favorite concepts in this clip is about the phrase:

"Money is the shadow of love."

When you do what you love and are expressing from the heart, money is its shadow. When you're involved in doing what you love, money is right there because the shadow is always right there.

Here's another concept that I found to be true in life:

When you spend money it is gone. When you circulate money by giving it away and sharing it, it comes back to you.

Success Story: KahiliCreations

Here's another great success story about someone who created a business on Etsy and was able to make a living that they did not have to return to their day job. I love stories about people who are living their dreams, and especially when there are stories that talk about how they are making it work. Etsy has great stories they share about people in their community that are able to make a living through their handmade crafts.

Read about KahiliCreations, a jewelry business in Hawaii.

Here's a photo of her studio:

Organic Salad

I found an organic vegetarian restaurant by Madison Square Park that I decided to try. Yum, yum, it was tasty. There was a nutty green thing that I had them put on top.

I'll have to experiment at home to see if I can create toppings like that! These are the types of meals I am trying to incorporate more into my diet so that I can become healthier.

Fashion Design Classes

I've started taking classes at F.I.T. this summer to prepare me for my official fashion studies program at Parsons this fall. I'm taking a bunch of classes from sewing, fabrication, sketching, to knitting. Classes began this past weekend, and so far I'm having a lot of fun. Here are some photos I managed to take from my first sewing class.

Since I have already taken a bunch of sewing classes, I found that I am more advanced for this class, but I'm always glad to take classes from different teachers because I always learn something new that I never knew before. Here I am practicing sewing straight lines.

Then, we moved on to sewing squares to practice corners.

And finally, here are some triangles:

Here is a picture of my final straight lines and squares.

This was the first time I used an industrial sewing machine, so there were a few new things to learn that I didn't have to know on a home sewing machine. The industrial machines sew much faster and they have a knee pedal that lifts the pressor foot for efficiency. By the end of the class, my right thigh was a bit tired from moving the pedal to the right over and over again. I guess that's one way to get a workout.

The final result of this class will be a pair of pajama pants! I'm going to go shopping for the fabric within the next couple of weeks. It's funny how I've been intending to make pajama pants for years now. I purchased a pajama pants pattern and some flannel to make pajama pants for my husband but never got around to it. Finally, finally, I am going to make pajama pants. Yey!
